Daniel Vickers

Daniel’s passion for SCUBA diving began when his girlfriend (now wife) suggested that they get certified together during a summer off from college in 2003. From there his interest in the sport grew rapidly as he learned everything he could while pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree from Tennessee Tech.  In 2005 he stumbled upon the book “The Last Dive” by Bernie Chowdhury which planted the seed of pursuing a cave diving certification. After graduating from college he took a job as a production engineer for an automotive electronics manufacturer in Tennessee and he and his wife spent the next three years saving and planning for a move to North Florida to be closer to the oceans, warm weather, and cave country. A year after moving down, he was hired as a Purchasing Manager/Product Engineer at Dive Rite. He now spends his time doing what he loves most, designing dive equipment and diving in the local springs and caves.
